Refund & Cancellation Policy
Refund rules for digital content purchases and how the right of withdrawal applies.
Scope and SnapSell’s role
1.1 This policy covers purchases of digital files made through SnapSell. It’s part of the SnapSell Terms of Use and should be read together with them.
1.2 SnapSell (FABS Media GmbH) is only the technical middleman that lets uploaders make files available to buyers. Payments and refunds run through third-party payment providers. When we grant a refund, we may recover that amount from the relevant uploader’s balance or offset it there.
Digital content and the right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)
2.1 Files are digital content delivered without a physical medium. When you start downloading a file, you’re expressly asking us to perform immediately, and you accept that this means you give up any statutory right of withdrawal (cooling-off period) for that file, as far as consumer law allows.
2.2 This doesn’t affect the voluntary refund grounds in Section 3, or any mandatory consumer right you can’t waive under your home law. The voluntary refund window here is separate from, and in addition to, any statutory right.
When a refund may be possible
3.1 Wrong content. What you received is significantly different from the uploader’s description.
3.2 Non-delivery. The content isn’t made available within a reasonable time (normally within 24 hours) after you complete the purchase.
3.3 Technical problems. A technical fault stops you accessing or downloading what you bought and our support team can’t fix it promptly. In that case the uploader has no claim for damages against SnapSell.
3.4 Duplicate charges. You’re charged more than once for the same content because of a processing error; the duplicate charge(s) can be refunded.
When a refund isn’t available
4.1 Unless mandatory law says otherwise, refunds aren’t available when:
- you’re unhappy because of subjective taste or preference;
- you change your mind after buying;
- you bought the content by mistake but have already downloaded it;
- the content matches its description but doesn’t meet your performance, device-compatibility or other expectations.
Download window
5.1 Purchased file links stay live for a limited time (currently 4 hours), and you need to download within that window. Simply not getting round to downloading in time isn’t, on its own, a reason for a refund; genuine non-delivery or technical faults are handled under Section 3.
How to ask for a refund
6.1 To request a refund, email SnapSell support at support@snapsell.org within 14 days of your purchase and include: (a) the transaction details; (b) why you’re asking; and (c) any supporting evidence (screenshots, a description of the issue).
6.2 We aim to confirm we’ve received your request within three working days and to assess it without undue delay. We may ask for a bit more information to verify the purchase and the problem.
Refund method, timing and fees
7.1 Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through the relevant payment provider. How long it takes to show up on your statement depends on that provider and your bank, and is usually 5–10 business days.
7.2 Refunds are made in the original transaction currency. We’re not responsible for exchange-rate differences or third-party bank charges.
Chargebacks
8.1 Before you start a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer, please come to SnapSell support first so we can sort it out directly. Unjustified chargebacks (for example, after you received the content as described) may be contested with evidence and can lead to the account being suspended.
Fraud and abuse
9.1 We may turn down refund requests that are fraudulent, abusive, or repeated in a way that doesn’t fit good-faith use of the service, and we may take account action under the Terms of Use.
Your statutory rights
10.1 Nothing here limits any mandatory consumer rights you have that can’t be excluded under the law of your country of habitual residence.
